If I Were Given an Opportunity by the Society

如果社会给我一次机会，我只做一件事： 在中国开辟一项事业，动员全社会的力量，依靠我们民族有史以来的团结奋斗精神，用 200 年时间造 20 亿亩土地，把中国变成世界农场。
我执著做这件事的原动力在于，我相信人造土壤是一项能改变中国经济发展方向、具有里程碑意义的一项科技成果，它能把发展经济、人类活动、环境保护、恢复自然界生态平衡、保护生物多样性等许多看似矛盾的自然问题及社会问题有机地结合起来、协调起来、统一起来，形成真正意义上的良性循环。
在此处，社会是代表政府官员的支持，代表科学家的帮助，代表企业家的投资。我希望这种机会早日到来。原文写于 2002.6.10 ( 参阅 R-04) 。 |

If I Were Given an Opportunity by the Society

If I were given an opportunity by the society, I would do one thing that is to start a career and mobilize the whole society and make 2 billion mu land in 200 years relying on the spirit of unity and hard work of the Chinese people to change China into a world farm.
The motivation behind my efforts lies in the belief that artificial soil is a milestone scientific achievement that can change the development direction of the Chinese economy. It can deal with many natural and social issues that seem contradictory to each other in the field of economic development, human activities, environmental protection, restoration of the natural ecological equilibrium and conservation of the diversity of biology, etc, forming a favorable cycle in a real sense.
In this paper, the society represents the support from government officials, the help of scientists and the investment of entrepreneurs. I am looking forward to the early arrival of the opportunity. The original paper was written in June 10, 2002 (refer to R-04). |
