The key subject of this issue is that the road map describing the development of science and technology in China written by CAS is not facing the four big problems in our country .At this point it loses contact with Chinese situation and reality.
The four big problems are：
1、Recently degree of self-sufficiency in grain of our nation is about 95﹪. Our grain yield is about 500 million tons a year. The demand of grain of 65 million people among 1.3 billion of the population in China needs to be imported. If a war or world famine will occur, we cannot purchase grain from international market or we can buy it but cannot transport it back or we can send it to the seaport but cannot send it inland or we can send it inland but cannot distribute reasonably, and then violence will occur in our society .Here my question is ：What method do they have to make Chinese degree of self-sufficiency in grain above 100﹪ and our grain yield will reach 1 billion tons or 1.5 billion tons or 2 billion tons. By “they”, I mean the academicians and member of academia sinica, chief scientists and discipline leaders, famous professors, experts and scholars who belongs to the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Agriculture, the Chinese Academy of Agriculture of the Provinces and Autonomous Regions in China, China Agriculture University and other more than 60 agricultural universities or institutes or colleges.
2、The problem of environmental protection is very serious and it is still deteriorating in China. The one of nine factors influencing Chinese environmental protection is soil erosion, which is 5-6 billion tons a year .How do we solve it?
3、The problem of shortage of water resources in our country.
4、Provide job opportunities for hundreds of millions of people. |
