    按照联合国粮农组织一份报告数据，世界适于耕种的土地是14亿公顷，但是分布极为不平衡。按该组织另一份数据，世界主要农业国家适于耕种的土地状况如下：巴西4.4亿公顷、美国3.9亿公顷、俄国3.5亿公顷、印度1.4亿公顷、中国1.2亿公顷、澳大利亚1.2亿公顷、加拿大1.2亿公顷、阿根廷1.0亿公顷，这样加起来是17.9亿公顷，与14亿公顷又矛盾。从这些纷乱的数据中，人们可以看出，中国的状况远不如巴西、美国、俄国，也不如印度，大约与澳大利亚、加拿大持平，高于阿根廷。三个土地资源大国巴西、美国和俄国总人口是6亿，适于耕种的土地却是11.8亿公顷，是中国的9.8倍。中国的人口是13亿，是上述三国人口的两倍多。

According to data from FAO of UN world arable land is 1.4 billions ha., but its distribution is not extremely even. However According to another data from FAO of UN their? arable land of important agricultural countries in the world is following as Brazil 440 millions ha.,US 390 millions ha., Russia 350 millions ha., India 140 millions ha., China 120 millions ha., Australia 120 millions ha., Canada 120 millions ha., Argentina 100 millions ha., then to add total account is 1.79 billions ha. which is not tally with above-mentioned data. People can see that Chinese arable land is too less then Brazil, US, Russia even India. China is about equal to Australia and Canada, which is higher than Argentina a little. Three land superpower of Brazil, US and Russia plus together 1.18 billions ha. of arable land, which is near Chinese 9.8 times, however the population of three countries is 600 millions and China is 1.3 billions more than 2 times.
