September 21, 2005 I wrote a article namely《 How to defend Grain as Weapon》, in which according China is facing the reality that our grain cannot be self-sufficient. I warn that the World Grain Superpower will implement grain as weapon towards China when our degree of self-sufficiency in grain drops below 80% and shortage of grain exceeds 100 millions tons. Also I mention to solve this problem, the main way is to develop artificial soil technology and industry in order to increase our cultivated area. China is a large country with 1.34 billions of population and its peak of population will be 1.5 billions.
