    农业是我国最重要和最薄弱的经济部门，这个基本状况在2012年没有改变，而且又向前发展一步。据《人民日报》报道，2012年，我国产粮58957万吨(合11791亿斤)，比2011年增加1836万吨，增长3.2%，实现“九连增”。这样的农业发展形势是非常好的，也是非常不容易的。即便如此，中国的粮食产量增长远低于粮食消费增长。粮食消费增长是由两部分构成的，一是人口的增加，二是人均粮食消费的增加。截至2012年12月末，中国大陆人口13.54亿，增加669万。近些年来，我国人口的增幅确实是降下来了，问题是我国的人均粮食消费增加太快。2007年我国人均消费粮食380公斤，2012年大约为500公斤，现在我国的人均粮食消费已经接近欧洲，正在追赶美国。未来我国的粮食供给将更加吃紧。

Agriculture is the most important and weak sector among our economic departments,up to 2012, which is not change. According to People's Daily, in 2012 Chinese grain output is 589.57 million tons, increase of 18.36 million tons than last year, increase rate of 3.2%. this is wonderful and not easy. Even if so Chinese grain consumption is faster than grain output increase. Chinese grain consumption consists of both population increase and per capita consumption increase. At the end of 2012 the population of Chinese mainland is 1.354 billions, increase of 6.69 millions, which is not too fast. But per capita consumption increase is too fast, in 2007 up to 380 ㎏, in 2012 about 500 ㎏. Today our grain consumption are going close to European and give chase to American, so in the future Chinese grain supply is more serious and critical.
