What we call green barrier in international trade means that developed countries such European Union, America, and Japan elevate their standards of import for some goods in order to limit such kind of goods coming from other countries. But the question is not so simple. Because we have applied a lot of pesticides and mineral (chemical) fertilizers during our agricultural production, I can not say that our agricultural products are high quality products.
The qualitative standard of artificial soil can be designed according to various purposes in business. If necessary, the residue of pesticides and heavy metals in artificial soil can be reduced close to zero. The standard of artificial soil should be higher than the standard of green food production base, and their operations during the process of production and management should strictly follow the definitions of the Organic Foods Development Center (OFDC) of the National Environmental Protection Bureau so that we can greatly improve the quality of our agricultural products and raise our competitive power in international markets because the qualitative standard of our agricultural products is higher than that of the others.
